Kaye Bohler's sumptuous voice can be heard in almost any style in almost any setting. From her powerhouse big band, to the soulful blues band to her intimate trio, Kaye's style is always authentic and will always leave you wanting more.

Kaye Bohler was born in the southern California city of Pomona. Kaye’s career began in the early 80s fronting cover bands from San Diego to Los Angeles, working in duos, trios and various projects. She sang and danced her way through Japan with The American Can Can Review. She toured the Nevada casino and resort circuit with the seven piece show band Capone. At age 26, she discovered the blues and in her own words – “When I found the blues, I came home.” After returning to Los Angeles, she formed the Big K Blues Band, and performed around southern California. In 1993 Kaye moved north to San Luis Obispo, starting the very successful band Kaye Bohler and the Kingpins. She sank her teeth into the blues, developed her songwriting and became a festival performer. She has shared the stage with and opened for great blues artists including Charlie Musselwhite, Elvin Bishop, Johnny Johnston, Ronnie Earl, Rod Piazza, Sista Monica, Magic Slim and Junior Wells. In March of 1998 the singer/songwriter was invited to join and front the very popular world-beat band Pele JuJu from San Francisco, performing in the festival circuit from Texas to California, Oregon and Alaska. This prompted her move to the San Francisco Bay Area, where she formed a very strong outfit of new players, The Kaye Bohler Blues Band. This band, featured here on this CD, exemplifies a culmination of many years of devotion to the blues form and all of ”the greats“. In Kaye's words, ”I feel extremely blessed to have such seasoned blues men on my team.“ Kaye Bohler is a power-house blues woman who has been compared frequently to Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, Bette Midler and Mick Jagger for her sincere and genuine strength as a stage performer and rich vocal tones. Kaye now performs with this band all over central and northern California.
